Spring Training Weekend - Friday 18th - Sunday 20th May
The Spring Training Weekend will be at the Hagg Farm Outdoor Education Centre, Snake Road, Bamford, Derbyshire, S33 0BJ which is near to the Ladybower Reservoir. The cost is £55 and a deposit of £20 is required to confirm your place.

Hagg Farm Outdoor Education Centre is predominantly a centre which offer pupils the opportunity of residential visits to enrich and enhance the school curriculum and contribute to learning outside the classroom, however is an excellent base for large families or groups wanting to explore The stunning Peak District.

Hagg Farm centre is a comfortable high quality residential base for up to 44 people in the main.

The centre stands in its own grounds surrounded by forest and moor land. Facilities in the main centre include bunk rooms of 2 - 8 people, fully equipped kitchen, large group/dining room, TV/DVD/video, payphone and fax, group PCs, classroom, library and drying room.

The centre is flexible to each groups needs and is a very well established outdoor activity centre for schools. It is ideal for a whole range of uses however for both young people and adults. Hagg Farm holds an AALA licence for a range of adventurous activities, and outdoor leadership can be arranged for groups/individuals.

Situated in Derbyshire at the heart of the Peak District National Park, the centre is housed in a converted 19th Century hill farm. Walks from the door lead onto the high moors of Kinder and Bleaklow and around Ladybower reservoir and dams.

The centre is close to many famous rock climbing ventures such as Stanage Edge, and to the classic caves of the area such as Giants Hole and Peak Cavern. Many sites of historic and environmental interest are within easy reach such as Chatsworth House, Eyam and Buxton.

The grounds include two car parks, a field and wildlife garden, climbing tower and access to surrounding woodlands including several orienteering and problem solving activities

Norman Bennett 3 mile Club Track Handicap - 7.15pm
The venue is Manor Road track with a buffet provided afterwards at Oadby Golf Club. Prize giving will be at the Golf Club with awards for the top 3 females, top 3 males, fastest male and fastest female.

We will be confirming numbers for catering in the week commencing 14th May and therefore any additions or deletions need to be made known by Tuesday 15th May.

Any withdrawals after this date will incur the stated cost of either £5 for race and buffet or £4 for buffet only.

We also ask that where possible please make payment to Mick Jordan by Tuesday 22nd May at the latest. This is so that only a small number of outstanding fees need to be collected on the night of the race during registration.

Registration on the day will be up to 7pm and the 1st runner will set off at 7.15pm.

We will also have a group club photo before the first runner sets off, approximately 7.10pm, so please bring your club vest.

We need a number of helpers on the day. If you or a family member is watching the race and can help out then please add the appropriate names to the list of helpers which will be available at the Legion from April onwards.
